Wednesday 2nd September.

Dear Miss Pownall,

I think that we should have a dog in the classroom because of these three points. Charlie will improve physical and mental health, he will be a focus tool and he's adorable.

Firstly, having a dog in the classroom can improve physical and mental health by hugging or giving it a walk. Studies have shown that a dog can stop anxiety and depression. My old dog made me happy. Whenever I came back into the house he was so excited to see me.

Secondly, having a dog in the classroom can be a focusing tool and stop distraction. If students need a bit of quiet time they can stay with Charlie. Studies have shown that dogs can help with ADHD which is when children struggle to keep focused.

Finally, he's adorable. All you have to do is Google cute dogs because they are absolutely unbearably cute. If Charlie came into the class I would want to pet him for the rest of my life.

In conclusion I think we should have Charlie in the classroom. This is because he will improve our physical and mental health, be a focus tool and hes adorable.

Yours sincerely,

The doggo lover,

Matias R
